Cobh's promotion push boosted by three goal win

Cobh Ramblers have put the pressure on Dundalk ahead of their game against Wexford Youths tonight. Cobh ran out 3-0 winners in their home league game with Monaghan United today. The win moves Cobh top of the First Division of the eircom League - at least for a couple of hours.

Shane Guthrie gave Cobh the perfect start as he headed in from John Kearney's cross after only nine minutes.

Cobh were 2-0 up fifteen minutes later when Davin O'Neill showed good close control before slotting the ball past Danny Woods.

Gareth Cambridge wrapped up a good win for Cobh when he fired home from just inside the Monaghan box on 55 minutes.
