A 4-1 win over Kilkenny City lifts Cobh Ramblers top of the League of Ireland First Division and ahead of Dundalk. It might have taken Cobh over half an hour to break the deadlock but once they did, they didn't look back.
Kilkenny thought they had shocked the twenty game unbeaten home side when Ted O'Connor slotted home after 15 minutes. However, an offside decision chalked that goal off and Cobh hit the front on 34 minutes.
Davin O'Neill broke the deadlock when he pounced to turn home after goalkeeper Andrew Murray had failed to hold an initial cross into the area.
Cobh were well on their way to top spot when Gareth Cambridge headed in from Graham Cummins' flick across goal just three minutes into the second half.
O'Neill headed in his second of the night and eighth of the season on 62 minutes as he powered home from John Meade's deep cross. Kieran O'Reilly got in on the goalscoring action six minutes from the end as another Meade cross undid the visitors.
Tim Kiely curled home a stoppage time free kick to give Kilkenny some consolation from a difficult away assignment.
