Limerick 37 0
Buckley Park
First half goals from Tim Kiely and Colin Bargary gave Kilkenny City their first home win since 3rd June 2006. The Cats ran out 2-0 winners against promotion hopefuls Limerick 37 at Buckley Park.
Home fans who had gone a twenty-three game run without a win got a boost after only twelve minutes when Kiely slotted home.
Bargary netted just before half-time to make it 2-0.
Despite their promotion aspirations, Limerick couldn't find a way back and may now find it difficult to get back into the promotion race with a clear gap opening up between them and the top three.
Kilkenny remain bottom but are now just one point behind second from bottom Wexford Youths.
